Corporate events venues in Dublin 8, why not?

Dublin 8 really has become a buzz of activity in the last numbers of years. I should know having lived and worked in the Dublin 8 area for over 12 years I have certainly seen some amazing changes and all for the better. Back when I lived off cork street on Donore avenue there was very little to do to be honest, there was no cafes or restaurants to go to and most definitely no landmark Corporate events venues or bars close by worth visiting or dropping into apart from the world famous venue that is the Guinness Storehouse. Even 12 years ago the Storehouse was not the powerhouse corporate event venue that it stands as today.

Now it has become a tourism magnet and a must see attraction for visitors to our great country. Not just that it has become the most popular corporate events venue especially for overseas visitors. Everyone and their mother want to book this amazing venue with the obvious attraction being the ultra cool gravity bar with views stretching the entire city of Dublin. Another extraordinary venue Dublin 8 has to offer is the famous Royal Hospital Kilmainham. This Dublin venue has hosted so many company corporate events over the years and in particular is a real favourite for Summer Barbeque parties.

One Dublin venue you probably never thought of….

Believe it or not but in the last 2 years  the iconic St Patrick’s Cathedral has become a top corporate events venue to the Dublin 8 scene. Not many people know that you can host parties and events here at night time and what a site it is to see this amazing venue transformed. We have booked in some of our top corporate clients here for their company christmas parties and they are still thanking us for finding the perfect events venue.

An honourable mention must also go to one of Ireland best Live music venues; Vicar street in the liberties.

Pearse Lyons Distillery Newly opened

Here’s the thing though and whisper it softly but they have some new competition  with two powerful  whiskey distillery venues  opened in the last while. You have definitely heard about the gem of a distillery that opened 2 years ago called Teeling’s and what a success story it has being to the Dublin 8 area and only in the last few weeks we had the opening of  Pearse Lyons Distillery

A new chapter for The Liberties, Dublin. It’s a  restoration of St. James’ Church and was founded by Pearse and Deirdre Lyons. Irish-born Pearse Lyons and his wife Deirdre are founders of Alltech, a multi billion dollar company based in Kentucky. They also own a brewery and distillery in Kentucky. The church was purchased for €690,000 and the refurbishment has cost in the region of  €20 million to date so with investment like that you just know this venture is going to be a huge success. What you are most definitely going to see now is an increase in tourism to the Dublin 8 area and this can only be good news for all the surrounding venues. In particular JK Stout Man’s bar and restaurant must be licking their lips as they are right beside this newly opened distillery. They also have one of the best function rooms  dublin has to offer at the back of this venue and for sure you will now see corporates booking more events and parties in Dublin 8.

Best Function Rooms Dublin 8 & Best Restaurant in Dublin

Speaking of  great function rooms Dublin 8 has to offer,  so many have popped up in the last few years. The newly opened Riddler Restaurant  definitely has to be mentioned as a top events space for private party bookings. Owned by the gent that is Keith McDonnell he also owns The Irish Whiskey Museum opposite Trinity college. Other great venues like Arthur’s Pub  on Thomas street along with The Thomas house are really great after work watering holes for companies based out of the Guinness enterprise centre and the Digital Hub. Arthurs Pub do a mean lunch trade as well and if you are a fan of seafood chowder then you must pay this pub a visit.

If you get peckish then head Portobello direction and do yourself a favour and stop into the best restaurant in Dublin. I do not say that lightly either, but a visit to Locks Restaurant is a must.

The food is sensational and  is really all down to the creative chefs led by Head chefs and owners  Conor O’Dowd and Keelan Higgs. If we have a top corporate client looking for Vip Treatment and quality food then Locks is our first call. Be sure to ask for Andressa and mention that Find A Venue sent you and watch all the extra little treats come your direction between courses.

Seriously though next chance you have put the phone away, get out of the house and go for a walk around the area that is Dublin 8. I am telling you; your eyes will be opened to a whole new side of Dublin and you will be most pleasantly surprised.
