Yes everyone, unfortunately it is 142 days to Christmas as I write this, so that means it is time for the last minute rush to book an Event venue in Dublin for the end of summer company party. Our office is always a buzz of activity this time of year with Christmas enquiries and Summer barbeque enquiries and 2017 is proving to be no different. Last week alone we had a huge amount of company party organisers contacting us looking for venues for their private parties in Dublin.
Suggesting the right summer party venue to a client always comes down to budget and availability at this late stage. Surprisingly, hotel venues tend to be light enough on party bookings for the months of August and September so that’s my go to venue type when the panicked client comes a calling.
Of course, a nice outdoor area is a must on a company party organisers checklist, as well as a city centre location, so venues ticking those boxes include the Gibson Hotel, Morrison Hotel, Trinity City, Morgan Hotel, Radisson Stillorgan and the likes of the Radisson Hotel in town. All fantastic venues but when it comes to booking a venue and of course bang for your buck well then using our free service and taking advantage of our special FindAVenue pricing on BBQ menus and drinks specials makes it a no brainer.
Company private parties in Dublin are the trend that’s happening for the last year, sharing venues when attended numbers are above 100-150 people is something that just seems to not happen anymore. I guess when numbers are over the 100 mark the idea is that a private party venue makes more sense and gives staff a chance to properly mingle and get to know each other.
I am sure from a HR point of view as well it makes life that little bit easier when the group is together privately for the entire event. There is nothing worse than some randomer helping themselves to the bar tab or basically crashing a party that they clearly aren’t invited to.
Another type of event venue Dublin has to offer for end of summer parties would be the good old bar venue with a nice outdoor space. Number one on this list has to be house on Leeson street. If you have not partied in the outdoor garden In House well I am afraid you are missing out. It literally is an actual garden, “ real lemons growing on trees” seriously come on. The actual outdoor space is huge and the glasshouse and retractable roof work nicely with our unpredictable Irish summer.
I have often had fingers and toes crossed leading up to large summer parties for my clients knowing the venue booked has a nice outdoor space but if it rains everything has to be moved inside, with the end result being that the summer theme gets lost but not with this top class event venue Dublin– House on Leeson Street .
Another unsung hero when it comes to outdoor space for private parties in Dublin city centre must be Dtwo on Harcourt Street. The backyard outdoor feel they have created must be experienced and the work carried out in the last year to extend the space in the garden is a testament to the owners to not stand still and up the game to a new level.
Speaking of upping the game the Dtwo owners are also opening a brand-new Hotel with an amazing outdoor space this year and from what we have been told its going to give the party mad street that is Harcourt something to talk about. Other top event venues worth mentioning include the Odeon Bar and the Opium Rooms which opens in September with a brand-new interior to match its amazing sister venue Nolita which again has possibly the coolest outdoor space at present.
Lemon & Duke off Grafton street has turned into a real gem of Dublin but I think people forget that they have a great outdoor space themselves, check it out the next time you’re close by at six bells, shutters come down on Hibernian way and they have themselves a top outdoor space.
The amount of times I am outside their neighbour venue Keoghs having a swift one on a Friday evening and can smell the barbeque in full swing, it literally draws you in to their fantastic outdoor space.
Right, I hope you liked my end of summer party venue suggestions, of course we have rugby clubs for sports days and unique venues for larger budgets so honestly try us out, just call our free service on 01 5253560 or mail me firstname.lastname@example.org
I can literally handle any request no matter how last minute, no matter how mad you are thinking your idea is or what you’re budget is. It’s what I do, finding venues and negotiating deals. Till next week!
