Workman’s Club

This venue is loved by Dublin party goers for years and it is loved for many reasons from its old-fashioned interior to its 1950’s furniture but mainly because of its music and performers’. This venue welcomes performers of all flavours and is home to some of Dublin’s best poets, comedians, acoustic and new band showcase nights. Food wise they have lots of choice and for me though the best part of this venue is its roof top garden with fully retractable roof which is something you don’t really expect upon arrival but makes it a must have on this top 10 list of beer gardens in Dublin city.

Boars head capel street outdoor beer garden

Honorable mention -The Boars head

This Boars head is the place to go after a big Gaa championship match in particular the Monday after a big weekend. Winning teams from all over the country including the Dublin football squad have dropped in to visit owner Hugh Hourigan’s famous pub on Capel street, famously Shane lowry brought the claret jug for a visit after his open major win in 2019. Hugh & his team have added an excellent outside enclosed area on the street front of the pub making one of the most unusual beer gardens in Dublin city.
