These last few weeks friends and clients have being asking me where are the best beer gardens in Dublin? So, I have put together a top 10 list to give you plenty of choice for the summer months to get out & meet up with friends.
An incredible and inspiring space inspired by the draping flowers of the botanical gardens. Opium is known for its world class cocktails and serves Thai and Vietnamese food for lunch and brunch every day until late. This botanical garden has a fully retractable roof and has being a favourite of ours for corporate events for a number of years.

Toner’s pub must have one of the largest beer gardens in Dublin city. They have a huge amount of seating so are perfectly set up for outdoor dining groups. Toner’s yard is known as one of Dublin’s oldest establishments and is a real favourite for sporting occasions with large screens dotted around the outdoor space making it perfect to catch some sun and meet up with friends.

This venue is made famous for hosting large crowds watching major sporting occasions with possibly the largest outdoor screen in Dublin. Apart from that it does have amazing space and a real gem of a venue this summer due to the amount of outdoor seating that they have and is ideal for groups to get nice food and drinks. Bookings wise you can of course pre book and walk in’s are an everyday occurrence

The Harcourt Bar is Dublin City Centres’ newest addition. You may remember this outside beer garden as DTwo but over the last number of years they have invested a huge amount in making this space one of the best beer gardens in Dublin city. And what a venue to watch any sporting occasion as well with so many large screens in every corner of this amazing outdoor space. Enjoy booth-style seating or relax in the semi-private areas. Take a seat and be amazed by the carefully crafted cocktails made by bartenders and mixologists. Food wise they have amazing sit down dining options as well as a summer barbeque menu that is incredibly popular with corporate bookings and the added bonus of having a large retractable roof to cover all types of the Irish weather

House Leeson street
In recent years when people think of what the best outdoor area or best beer garden in Dublin city is, this incredible venue is top of most peoples list. They are reopening in July and have being working behind the scenes to make an already amazing outdoor space even more special. The outside partition that divided the beer garden is now gone and you now have a large outdoor space with a retractable roof covering the entire garden. I have worked with House since its opening in 2013 and every year they have upped the game on their food and drinks offering always innovating and always keeping up with worldwide trends. Customer service is a top priority for myself as a venue finder especially as I deal with so many companies organising their corporate events & I can always rely on the team at house to deliver a 5-star service every time

Camden Bites & Brew
Driving down Camden Street the last few weeks you will have noticed a large crowd seated outside this intimate and lively bar. They have a really nice outdoor space with plenty of seats and an even better indoor sunny terrace making it an ideal addition to our list of best beer gardens in Dublin city. They are open 6 nights a week and food wise they serve a very affordable and tasty lunch menu as well as a top dinner evening menu

If there was one Dublin venue that has become a really firm favourite in the last number of years, it has to be Hucks. Co-Owned by former Dublin Gaa stars Michael Darragh McCauley, Ross McConnell & Eamon Fennell this Camden street bar really has an incredible atmosphere with amazing cocktails and gourmet food to keep all punters happy. Whatever you are into whether it be 80’s music, Gaa, musical comedy duos, world class dj’s, whiskey tastings or just pure craic then this venue has got you covered.
What makes this venue ideal is that they have both a connecting outdoor beer garden with Camden bites and brew as well as a connecting front terrace to really make this side of camden street a vibrant place to party with friends & a must on my list.

The church bar and café
I would say the church venue was always going to be everyone’s shoo in to be on the top 10 List. Why? An award winning 350-seater outdoor beer garden space is just a start and the fact they have the capability of covering the entire garden helps. It’s the food that makes the place though and they have an array of delicious dishes for you to choose from. The summer barbeque menu is incredibly popular with corporate groups and many’ s the find a venue placed booking have praised the portions of food as well as the quality. Service wise the team strive for perfection, and you really get that feeling from the second you arrive at this incredible venue
Located on Marys Street Dublin 1 https://www.thechurch.ie/the-beer-garden/
This venue is loved by Dublin party goers for years and it is loved for many reasons from its old-fashioned interior to its 1950’s furniture but mainly because of its music and performers’. This venue welcomes performers of all flavours and is home to some of Dublin’s best poets, comedians, acoustic and new band showcase nights. Food wise they have lots of choice and for me though the best part of this venue is its roof top garden with fully retractable roof which is something you don’t really expect upon arrival but makes it a must have on this top 10 list of beer gardens in Dublin city.

Horse show house
The fantastically named Madigan square garden tells you all you need to know about this spacious and fantastic space. What was once simply a car park has now been transformed into one of the best beer gardens in Dublin city. This venue is the largest pub in Ballsbridge and is right across the road from the world famous RDS venue. With large screens dotted throughout this fantastic venue it makes it a great spot to watch any sporting occasion. Food wise they have lunch options , fingerfood and of course a top class summer bbq menu. A picture paints a thousand words, so the above image really does the venue justice and is well worth a drop in.

Honorable mention -The Boars head
This Boars head is the place to go after a big Gaa championship match in particular the Monday after a big weekend. Winning teams from all over the country including the Dublin football squad have dropped in to visit owner Hugh Hourigan’s famous pub on Capel street, famously Shane lowry brought the claret jug for a visit after his open major win in 2019. Hugh & his team have added an excellent outside enclosed area on the street front of the pub making one of the most unusual beer gardens in Dublin city. Food wise if you have not tried their famous Irish stew then I am afraid you have been missing out.
