From Brief to Delivery: A 100-Guest Rooftop Summer Party in Dublin
When the client approached Find a Venue about their 2026 summer party, they wanted a rooftop venue in Dublin city centre that would feel fresh and different to places their team had used before.
With around 100 guests expected, the brief was for a relaxed summer evening with casual food, drinks and entertainment. Budget was important, as was finding a venue with both outdoor space and sheltered options should the weather change.
After discussing the client's previous events and venues, Hyde on Dawson Street was selected. The rooftop provided the summer setting they wanted, while its central location, flexible spaces, and existing DJ setup helped us deliver the event without incurring unnecessary costs.

The Brief
The client wanted to bring approximately 100 colleagues together for a relaxed summer party in a rooftop venue in Dublin city centre.
Finding somewhere new to the team was particularly important. We discussed venues they had used for previous events so we could identify a rooftop space that would create some excitement while still being easy for guests to reach by public transport.
The client requested:
- A rooftop venue in Dublin city centre.
- Space for approximately 100 guests.
- A venue that would be new to most of the team.
- Outdoor space with sheltered options in case of poor weather.
- Casual food with options for dietary requirements and allergies.
- Drinks and entertainment throughout the evening.
- A DJ with music tailored to the client's preferred style.
- A solution that could deliver the full event within a relatively tight budget.
The Solution
After discussing venues the client had used previously, Hyde on Dawson Street was selected. It gave the group the rooftop setting they wanted in a central Dublin location, while still providing indoor and sheltered options if the weather changed.
The setup included:
- Rooftop and indoor space for approximately 100 guests.
- Finger food platters with options for dietary requirements and allergies.
- Background music from arrival.
- A DJ booked from 8:00 pm to midnight and briefed on the client's preferred music.
- Existing DJ equipment at the venue, avoiding additional equipment hire and saving valuable space.
- A city centre location close to major transport links.
Find a Venue was onsite before guests arrived to check the setup and meet the organiser. When he raised concerns about the furniture layout and how guests would move between the indoor bar and rooftop, we worked directly with the venue team to rearrange the space until he was happy. This meant the issue was dealt with before the first guest arrived, rather than becoming a problem during the event.
The Outcome
The event started with a relaxed atmosphere, with guests moving between the indoor bar and outdoor rooftop space, sitting in groups, catching up and enjoying the good weather.
As the evening progressed, the DJ changed the pace and the atmosphere became livelier. The original plan was for the DJ to finish at midnight, but with guests still enjoying themselves, Find a Venue had already discussed the possibility of extending the night with both the DJ and venue manager.
On the night:
- Approximately 100 guests attended.
- Food was served on time and dietary requirements were catered for.
- Guests made full use of both the indoor and rooftop spaces.
- The DJ was set up well ahead of his 8:00 pm start.
- The planned midnight finish was extended to 1:00 am.
- The venue and DJ were able to adapt without disrupting the event.
What had originally been planned as a five-hour evening ultimately continued for six, with guests staying on and enjoying the DJ for an additional hour.
