Two Dates, One Corporate Summer Party Experience
Organising a corporate summer party in Dublin for a company with approximately 3,000 employees presents a very different challenge to planning a single company event.
Accenture wanted to give as many employees as possible the opportunity to attend, but one date was never going to suit everyone. The solution was to organise two summer parties, one in July and another in August, allowing employees to choose the date that worked best for them.
That created another challenge. Both groups needed to receive the same overall experience, regardless of which night they attended.
Find a Venue needed to secure a Dublin city-centre venue capable of a full takeover on both dates, while also coordinating a live band, DJ, food, photobooth, photography, videography, event dressing and guest check-in across the two events.
The Harcourt Hotel & Bar was selected, with capacity for up to 1,000 guests per night and the combination of indoor and outdoor spaces required for the summer party.
Approximately 800 guests attended the first event and 900 the second, bringing total attendance across the two nights to around 1,700 people.
Having two events also allowed us to review the first night with Accenture, the venue and event partners, and make practical improvements before doing it all again.
This is how the two events came together.

The Brief
With approximately 3,000 employees, Accenture wanted to give as many people as possible the opportunity to attend their summer party. Rather than selecting one date, the decision was made to organise two identical corporate summer parties, one in July and another in August.
The key requirement was fairness. Employees attending either night needed to receive the same overall experience, which meant finding a venue and suppliers capable of delivering consistently across both dates.
The brief required:
- A large Dublin city-centre venue for up to 1,000 guests per night.
- Exclusive use of the full venue on two separate dates.
- Indoor and outdoor spaces suitable for a summer party.
- The same food and hospitality experience across both events.
- A live band available on both dates, experienced with large corporate audiences and capable of playing well-known, crowd-pleasing music.
- A DJ, photobooth, photographer and videographer across both nights.
- Event dressing and themed props to create a summer atmosphere.
- Guest check-in support for ticket holders.
- Food options catering for all dietary requirements.
- A solution that could meet the requirements of Accenture's budget and tender process.
The Solution
After reviewing the suitable large-capacity venues across Dublin city centre, Find a Venue selected the Harcourt Hotel & Bar. It could provide exclusive use of the full venue on both dates, offered multiple indoor and outdoor spaces, and had an experienced team accustomed to catering for events of this scale.
Once the venue was secured, we worked with Accenture, the venue team and our event partners to build an experience that could be delivered consistently across both nights.
Find a Venue coordinated:
- A live band available on both dates, selected for its experience with large corporate audiences and crowd-pleasing set.
- A DJ to continue the entertainment after the band.
- A large photobooth for guests.
- Professional photography and videography.
- An experienced event company to manage venue dressing, themed elements and guest check-in.
- Summer-themed props and fun items for guests to wear and use in photographs.
- Food tastings with the Accenture team before the events.
- Multiple buffet stations offering three hot dishes, fish and chips and dessert grazing tables.
- Dietary requirements across the food offering.
- Detailed venue walk-throughs with the client, venue and event partners ahead of delivery.
The planning went beyond simply replicating the entertainment and food. Guest arrival, check-in, movement between the different spaces, food service and supplier timings all had to work for up to 1,000 people on each night.
Find a Venue remained the link between Accenture, the venue and the different event suppliers throughout the process, ensuring everyone was working towards the same plan before the first guests arrived.
The Outcome
Approximately 800 guests attended the first event and 900 the second, with both nights successfully delivering the large-scale summer party Accenture had planned.
Find a Venue was onsite throughout, working with the Accenture and venue teams to manage guest arrivals, monitor queues and coordinate the event as it unfolded.
Following night one, we gathered feedback from the client, venue and event partners and used it to improve the second event. Changes included adjusting food stations to reduce queues, replacing one dish following guest feedback, improving signage and soft drink visibility, and creating a smoother transition from the live band to the DJ.
A final walk-through also identified that the photobooth could interfere with food service, so its opening was delayed until the main food service had finished.
