Corporate Conference Dublin - 40 Guests

A Corporate Event in Dublin with Meetings, Dining and Entertainment

A returning client approached Find a Venue with just one week to organise a corporate team offsite for 40 people in Dublin 2. They needed a professional meeting space close to their regular office, but the day wasn't intended to finish when the meeting ended.

The brief also called for a separate space where the team could move afterwards for food, drinks and a more relaxed social atmosphere. Rather than sourcing two different venues, the aim was to find one property capable of delivering both experiences well.

After reviewing suitable Dublin city-centre options, The Leinster on Lower Mount Street emerged as the strongest fit. The O'Dwyer Suite provided the dedicated setting required for the working day, while The Collins Club offered a distinctly different restaurant, bar and supper-club environment for the social element afterwards.

Food and drink added to the appeal. The Leinster's wider culinary identity carries the influence of internationally renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, while The Collins Club has developed its own reputation for food, cocktails and relaxed social dining. For a client looking to move naturally from business into socialising without changing venue, the combination made considerable sense.

The result was a full-day event running from 9am until approximately 7.30pm, with the organiser later describing the venue as “spot-on” and the evening food and drinks as “incredible.”

This is how the event came together.

The Brief

The client had worked with Find a Venue previously on social events and returned with a very different requirement. This time, they needed a professional meeting space for a 40-person corporate team offsite in Dublin 2, with only one week available to find and secure the right venue.

Location was particularly important. The meeting needed to take place close to the client's regular office, but the brief went beyond simply finding a boardroom or conference space for the day.

After the meeting, the client wanted the team to move into a separate social setting for food and drinks. The two parts of the event needed to feel different: professional and focused during the working day, followed by somewhere more relaxed where colleagues could switch off and socialise.

The venue needed to combine the right location, professional meeting and AV facilities, suitable food and refreshments, and a strong social space within the same property. It also needed to accommodate vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-intolerant dietary requirements.

With only a week's notice, availability added another layer to the search. The challenge for Find a Venue was to identify a Dublin 2 property that could satisfy the complete brief at short notice, rather than simply finding an available meeting room for 40 people.

The Solution

Find a Venue began by checking suitable Dublin city-centre properties against the complete brief rather than simply searching for an available meeting room. Location, cost, meeting facilities and the quality of the social experience afterwards all had to work together.

After reviewing the responses and speaking directly with suitable venues, The Leinster on Lower Mount Street stood out because it could deliver two distinctly different environments within the same property.

The O'Dwyer Suite provided the professional setting required for the working day, with dedicated meeting facilities and AV available for presentations. Its location also satisfied one of the client's most important requirements, keeping the event close to their regular Dublin 2 office.

Once the meeting finished, the group could move into The Collins Club rather than continuing the evening in a traditional conference or function room. The restaurant, bar and supper-club setting provided the more relaxed atmosphere the client wanted for the social part of the event, with finger food and drinks served to the group.

The Leinster's wider food and drink profile was another influence on the decision. Its culinary identity carries the influence of internationally renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, while The Collins Club has established its own character around food, cocktails and social dining. This gave the client confidence that the hospitality element of the day could match the quality of the meeting environment.

For Find a Venue, that combination was what made The Leinster particularly well suited to the brief. It wasn't simply a venue with space for 40 people. It offered the right space for both parts of the event, allowing the group to move from a focused corporate meeting into a relaxed social setting without leaving the property.

The Outcome

Despite the short lead time, the event delivered exactly what the client had been looking for: a professional meeting environment for 40 people during the day and a completely different setting for the team to relax together afterwards.

The combination of the O'Dwyer Suite and The Collins Club proved particularly effective. The group could complete the working part of the offsite before moving into a more relaxed restaurant and bar environment for finger food and drinks, all without leaving The Leinster.

There was a minor issue with the presentation setup during the meeting, but the venue responded quickly by providing its own laptop, allowing the programme to continue after a short delay.

The organiser subsequently described the venue as “spot-on” and the evening food and drinks as “incredible”, while the team called it the “best event we've organised yet.”

For an event arranged with just one week's notice, that feedback was a strong indication that the venue choice had delivered on both sides of the original brief.
